It's a Brand new Year at Holly Grove Elementary School!

On Monday, July 8th, we will begin our 2013-2014 school year!  There is clearly excitement in the air.  Our teachers have been busy all week getting ready for tracks 1, 2, and 3 to return. 

Our school day begins at 8:45AM.  We have an Early Arrivals program if you need to bring your child early.  Children are allowed in for the program starting at 7AM. 

We are looking forward to another great year at Holly Grove!  Mrs. Thomas

Congratulations to Rosita Eichvalds!

During a banquet tonight, Mrs. Eichvalds was named the Wake County Teacher Assistant of the Year!  We are so proud of her accomplishment.  She is such a deserving teacher assistant to receive this honor.  When I think of her, several adjectives come to mind:  caring, flexible, helpful, resourceful, team player, friend, helper, and committed to name just a few.

She has been a teacher assistant at Holly Grove for the past seven years.  When I interviewed her she possessed the core values that were important to us and our learning community.  She has a high regard for ALL children and is interested and committed to helping ALL of them succeed.

I find her to be an humble person, who shared that she was just honored to be named by her peers at Holly Grove; however the committee saw what her peers saw;  a very capable individual who was deserving of the highest honor our district gives to a Teacher Assistant.

I am confident that she will serve our school and district well as she reign for the next year as the district  winner.

Hedgehogs in Harmony and General PTA Meeting

Join us on Tuesday for a performance by our Hedgehogs in Harmony Chorus and our general PTA Meeting, where we will select our officers for the 2013-2014 school year.  Our program will begin at 6:30PM.

Chic-fil-A Night

Join us for Dining for Technology at Chic-fil-a tonight (March 13th).  Bring the family out to eat and dine with other Holly Grove Families.  The time is 6-8PM.

Schools are delayed on January 28th

Our school will have a 3 hour delay tomorrow.  Our Early Morning Care program will begin at 10AM.  All other students will be permitted in the building at 11:45.  Students will be late if they arrive after 12:15PM.
